The chapel was begun on October 1, 1995. It was started by a couple who have since moved back to Ontario by the name of Frank and Sheila Mauser. Our Pastor at the time was Fr. Francis Kocik. The Bishop who accepted the project was Bishop Robert Lebel of Valleyfield.

When it first began it was a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, which means that it was open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It took a minimum of 168 people to keep it open per week. Our parish was the first to have such a chapel in Quebec.

There have been have been several people in charge of the chapel and it has gone through many changes. Some of the chapel co-ordinators have been: Frank & Sheila Mauser of St. Lazare; Adam & Joanna Gacek of Pointe Claire; Christine & Gaetano Maimone of Pincourt; Anne Coulter of Pincourt and presently it is Audrey Angelozzi of Pincourt.

The people in our chapel come from many communities: Pincourt, Ile Perrot, Notre Dame de l’Ile Perrot, Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Vaudreuil-Dorion, St. Lazare, Hudson, Rigaud and the West Island. They are both English and French and are a dedicated group of people. Some of our adorers have been with us since the beginning: 21years. That’s quite a commitment!

As our adorers aged and were not replaced, it became more and more difficult to keep the chapel open 24 hours a day. We had to stop the night hours as we could not find enough people to take them. The chapel is still open 7 days a week, but only from 7am until 11pm (on the weekends until 10pm).

The chapel has brought our parish and the community many spiritual gifts and for that we thank the Lord.
